A MOVING AND SURPRISING STORY

An intimate reflection on the concept of success, featuring María Teresa Paniagua, an amazing positive character and octogenarian Zarzuela singer, and interviews with Rossy de Palma, Plácido Domingo, Fernando Savater, Alberto García-Alix, Matthieu Ricard, NANCY ETCOFF, and Martin Seligman, among others

T

he documentary that deals with the most relevant issues of the 21st century, reflecting on happiness, daily life, death, old age, revealing his doubts about this "word of a thousand shades and a little perverse" that is success. This documentary can drive a change in your life, in your perspective on the meaning of success.

Meeting Maria Teresa Paniagua was an eye-opener. A unique character. Full of joy. A Zarzuela singer who in her time was very, very famous. So famous that she sang in countries on the other side of the world. At the airports, at the stations, they were waiting for her with flowers.
Now, at almost 90 years old, living alone in Lavapiés, in the heart of Madrid, takes her to another dimension that shows us the strength of a woman full of energy and introduces us to an intimate reflection on the concept of success.

We ask ourselves: success… what is it?

It seemed natural to ask prominent, famous, successful personalities, artists, philosophers, influencers or scientists who study positive psychology.
We get to know these people intimately with interviews that offer totally new and original, unpublished facets of these personalities.

We learned a lot along the way with this documentary. Not only at the theoretical level. But at a practical level. What we experience and tell can change your life as well, your perspective.

To make the documentary we pursued the style that follows the spirit of the enfants terribles of the Nouvelle Vague, but in a Madrid style, leaving room for spontaneity, real details and essential truth. The film is shot on the street, camera in hand, to reflect all those everyday aspects where life boils.

The interviews show surprising reflections and aspects from representatives of the artistic, scientific and intellectual world such as the actress Rossy de Palma, the philosophers Fernando Savater and Javier Sádaba, the tenor Plácido Domingo, the photographer Alberto García-Alix, monk Matthieu Ricard, psychiatrist Martin Seligman, Harvard professor Nancy Etcoff, trainer and writer Victor Küppers of TED Talks, international artist Pilar Albarracín, actor Leo Bassi, director of the Teatro de la Zarzuela Daniel Bianco, singer and actor Enrique R. Del Portal, psychologist Tania Evans, CIVSEM director Miguel Ángel Velázquez and youtuber JPelirrojo.

This documentary is a balm for the spirit.
